Hey Roomies!
Gaming Guru Jess here with my first ever article for The Realview Room website!
I thought this might be a great opportunity to share some of the big upcoming games for 2019 and let everyone know just exactly what Aran and I have got in store for you all, so let the games begin!
Firstly, lets start with the exciting things we gaming gurus have got planned!! Aran will be on Twitch live streaming Resident Evil Origins on Thursdays (starting 17/01/2019) hopefully around 8pm and on Sundays around the same sort of time. I will be on Twitch streaming The Sims 4 around 8pm on Tuesdays and Fridays, I was thinking of doing a challenge maybe a legacy challenge or rags to riches challenge perhaps? If you have any challenges you would like me to try, you are welcome to tag me: Jessica Saunders on either our Facebook page (The Realview Room), in our Facebook group (The Realview Roomies) or even send an email to therealviewroom@outlook.com to let me know which ones you’d like me to try or review. I would love you to get involved with my Sims life and the challenges.
Our Twitch username is realview room please go check us out, follow and add us as a friend. We also have our Facebook live stream videos where we regularly play and review tabletop games, card games, etc. We have recently created a poll in The Realview Roomies group asking you all to vote for the game you would like us to play live next, if you haven’t already please do, we enjoy interacting with you all and really appreciate your input.
New Games for 2019!
There are a few 2019 game releases that we are quite excited about!
Resident Evil 2 (remastered)

Game Summary: Resident Evil 2 has been completely rebuilt using Capcom's proprietary RE engine giving the classic horror saga a fresh new feel. The players get to play through the game as two characters one of which is police officer Leon Kennedy and the other is college student Claire Redfield (the sister of Chris Redfield whom can be played in Resident Evil Origins).Both are thrown together during the deadly T-virus outbreak in Racoon City, its up to you to help them survive. To celebrate this games release Aran will be doing Live streams on Twitch playing Resident Evil Origins.
Kingdom Hearts 3

Game Summary: Sora is back!! With Donald Duck and Goofy. Join them as they travel across the different Diney/Pixar worlds fighting against the evil force called the Heartless whose main aim is to take over the entire universe.Meet characters from Wreck It Ralph, Toy Story, Monsters Inc. and many more!! This game looks fantastic!! We’ve started playing Kingdom hearts 1 and 2 on the PS4 ( I’m new to this series) as an avid Disney/Pixar fan I had to buy Aran this for Christmas so I could start from the beginning after seeing the trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3.

Genesis Alpha One
Release Date: 29/01/2019

Game Summary: You're the captain of a Genesis Starship, travel through a randomly generate space, build and maintain the starship, farm resources, fight and clear out alien infestations and don't forget you're on an important mission. The game has a mixture of elements to it one part is a shooter the next a base building game and survival. This game has me intrigued I enjoy survival and base building games will keep my eyes peeled for some game play videos once it’s been released.
Far Cry New Dawn
Release Date:15/02/2019

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PC
Game Summary: Continues on from the ending of Far Cry 5 (which I still need to complete may do a live stream watch this space). Set seventeen years later after the events of Far Cry 5 set in post-apocalyptic Hope County. I like the premise of this game and that it’s set directly after the last one, I can’t wait to go and explore the world.
Jump Force
Release Date: 15/02/2019

Game Summary: Calling all Anime fans! This game is for you!! Come and play as the worlds most popular anime characters from Japans weekly Shonen Jump manga (50 years worth great heroes and villains)Players will be able to create a 3 character tag dream team!! Fight each other in iconic destinations across the earth. Aran himself is a huge Anime fan and is really looking forward to playing this game, I bet his go to will be Vegeta or/and Goku for his dream team not sure who would be his third character.

Metro: Exodus
Release Date: 15/02/2019

Game Summary: The game is set in 2036 a quarter century after the destruction of the nuclear war destroyed the earth. Some survivors managed to escape and live out their lives underneath the ruins of Moscow in the Metro tunnels. The game is very story driven and is a first person shooter from 4A games. Players get to explore the immersive world, get into conflicts and combat though stealth may be required in this survival horror. . Aran enjoyed Metro 2033 which was released in 2010 for Xbox 360 and he can’t wait for this one
Anthem
Release Date: 22/02/2019

Game Summary: Team up with your squad (which goes up to four) to explore forgotten ruins as you pursue the evil forces plotting to overthrow and control humanity. Fight the dangers of the world and keep an eye out for merciless marauders. Experience world-altering events such as Shaper Storms. You and your friends are known as Freelancers the brave few that with courage left behind civilization to go and explore the world. We always keep an eye out for multiplayer games as we enjoy playing with friends online and this game has quite a few of them excited. I may share a trailer for this later the visuals for this game are incredible.

Devil May Cry 5
Release Date: 08/03/2019

Game Summary: The intense fast paced game is back! Ten years after the release of Devil May Cry 4 along with Nero but this time he's sporting an mechanical arm (what happened to Devil Bringer??) expect a lot of demon slaying! There will be three playable characters Nero , Dante and a third which is yet to be revealed. We love this series!! I’m glad that it’s a direct sequel from the older games as I've been wanting to play as Nero again! May have to find my copy of Devil May Cry 4 just to refresh myself as I haven’t played it since it was released 10 years ago , crazy how much time flies!!

Days Gone

Game Summary: Two years ago a strange and mysterious global pandemic annihilated the world, it not only killed most of the population but it turned millions into brainless and wild creatures known as the Freakers. Two years later and this harsh world is one that the main character Deacon St John must try to survive , with scarce resources , violence and murder being common place in the lawless wilderness and the Freakers roaming about. Deacon must survive relying on the skills he had learnt before the world ended, he was part of a motorcycle club violence and chaos was part of his way of life. The game is set in the high-desert of Pacific Northwest. This game really stood out to us when it was shown at an E3 the trailer jumped straight into the action (I'll find and share it later) we liked the story, graphics and that it's a horror surviving game ( yeah I know another one haha), the freakers remind me a little of the zombies in World War Z with how fast they run.

Mortal Kombat 11
Release Date: 23/04/2019

Game Summary: Mortal Kombat is making a return, bigger and better than before in the next installment of the franchise. All new Custom Character Variations which allows you to customize the fighters however you would like (I'm guessing that NetherRealm have taken this idea from their Injustice 2 I love the customization on there and am excited to see it incorporated into Mortal Kombat 11) . The games cinematic story mode is a continuation from the previous games. ( this grand franchise is 25 years old!) Mortal Kombat is such a classic. It was both mine and Aran’s first fighting game we ever played, my first copy was for the SNES haven’t stopped playing it since. I’m sure will play this on some live streams in the future.
Crash Team Racing
Release Date: 21/06/2019

Game Summary: Finally, CTR racing is back! fully remastered and it looks amazing!! The game includes all of the original content so the game modes, characters, tracks, power-ups,weapons and controls, but the game will also include additional karts and tracks. Bring out your competitive side whilst racing against friends online and smashing out the competition on the leaderboards. We can not wait for this game!! We had been waiting for the announcement of its release since Crash Bandicoot made a comeback!! This game holds so much nostalgia for me as I used to play this a lot in my childhood, great times.
