Here it is! The world's first look at Margot Robbie as Barbie!
The infamous doll has been welcomed into homes of children and collectors alike for decades. The world of Barbie has also been made into many films and series too. But it was around this time last year when rumours in the media hinted at a live action feature length film for the blonde, fun loving character.
Margot Robbie was soon cast as the titular character along with Ryan Gosling as the character's long term love interest Ken. It was only recently announced that this exciting new project had added another star to it's casting list. The one and only Will Ferrell (probably most famously known for his role of Buddy in the festive film 'Elf!') although his role is yet to be announced in the film. In all honesty I can picture him in an eccentric antagonist type of role for this film. It could be quite amusing.
Warner Bros. Pictures shared the announcement of the film's cinematic release date on their social media accounts less than an hour ago. The official release date for the film is July 21st 2023! Which means we only have just over a year before we get to see this extravaganza. The image shared shows Robbie comfortably sat behind the wheel of a pink convertible, looking bright and ready for fun while resembling a similar look as Reese Witherspoon's Elle Woods featured in the Legally Blonde films.
This title looks like it could be a lot of fun with its bright and bold colours, however what age range the film is aimed at, we are still yet to find out. We can only hope that she's parked up outside her Malibu dream house waiting for us all with a brand new adventure.
